Back to a three match schedule now for the rest of the event.

First match was vs the buoyant Greeks who were lying in the top half dozen.  A decent card from both our pairs gave us a 17 imp win.

Match 2 was against the Czech Republic- they were rather lucky to have a few hands to really suit their system. Amazingly they were able to overcall 1H with 2S to show good diamonds on:

So they reached 2S, the correct contract!!!

Despite a couple of setbacks we won by 11 which was a little disappointing but at least more points on the board.

The final match was against the Dutch. After 4 boards we were 34 down! A terrific comeback with Bakhshi/Malinowski particularly good saw us close to only lose by  4 imps. 

Overall a reasonable day. Tomorrow is a big day for us - playing Wales, Israel (tournament leaders) and Turkey.
