Lady Milne Blog

The Lady Milne Trophy - the annual women's home international series - takes place this weekend in Dublin. As the host nation, the Republic of Ireland will provide the sixth team: CBAI.

England have a very good record in the event and will be looking to wrest back the trophy from the strong Scottish ladies' team. Both teams have qualified for the Venice Cup later in the year in Wuhan, China.

The event is played over a single weekend with five 32 board matches played in two 16 board stanzas.

England is represented by the three pairs who finished in 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the final Lady Milne trials in February:
Gilly Cardiff and Sally Brock,
Susanna Gross and Catherine Draper; and
Nicola Smith and Yvonne Wiseman.
