Seconds Out, Day Two

Women's Teams, World Bridge Games,  Monday September 5

Going into the second day of the championships, England has moved into pole position in Group A.  Having recorded healthy wins against both Spain and Jordan and despite a minor reversal against Brazil, our total of 44.25 VPs, out of a possible 60, is enough to establish a small lead over the second placed country, China.

Today, however, we are faced with the prospect of three tough examinations.   First up will be Norway, to be followed by the Netherlands (2014 European champions) and, finally, China.   These last two matches will be shown on BBO from 13:00 and 15:50 respectively.

With today's opponents all expecting to qualify for the knock-out stages, our prize-fighters will be rolling with the punches and hoping to emerge unscathed!
