Hidden away in a quiet room somewhere at the Beaumont Congress Palace in Pau, you will find a group of staff beavering away, day and night, producing the Daily Bulletin. The Daily Bulletin is the newspaper of the event and contains all the results from the previous day, the ranking tables, the list of matches that will be played that day and annoucements from the championship organisers. There are match reports including the 'Match of the Day', the vugraph schedule, humorous anecdotes and they usually slip in a few sports results as well; this year our championship coincides with Euro 2008 and Wimbledon, for starters. Readers of English Bridge will be familiar with regular contributors Brian Senior, Barry Rigal and Mark Horton and there are always a lot of bridge journalists from all over the world writing guest
articles. Anyone can contribute to the bulletin. If you're at the Championships, or even at home watching it on Bridge Base Online, and you feel the urge to submit something, I'm sure the bulletin editor will be happy to read it!
You used to only be able to get the bulletin if you were physically at the venue but now, thanks to the internet, you can view it at home by visiting the website where it is available both as a web page or (much better) as a PDF which you can download. Why not make it part of your daily routine during the Championships?
