Apologies for the delay in the blog but it’s been a tense
couple of days with a lot of tight matches for the team, some of which didn’t
quite go the way we hoped.
We started with a thumping win against the famous Italian
squad, the highlight of which was Tony Forrester finding a lead of the queen of
clubs from Q9 (uncontested auction) to beat 3NT. This was followed by two
disappointing narrow losses against Australia and Chile. A number of individual
errors contributed however tomorrow is another day!
