Day 3

An up and down day led to a mixed set of results leaving us in 3rd place at the end of day three.

Some good declarer play was offset by inaccuracies in the bidding and some misfortune in the slam zone. 

Chris Jagger and Jeffrey Allerton were particularly unlucky with a great sequence to an otherwise excellent slam (6D) going off on an opening singleton lead to their partner’s ace followed by a ruff at trick two.

Tomorrow is another important with some tough matches against Indonesia, Israel and Norway, the later two being genuine medal contenders.
